Spurs Official App

tottenhamThere are tons of sources where you can get up to date Spurs news and information but, it usually makes sense to keep it official. Pages such as ours can bring news and opinion while video highlights of games can always be found at the usual sites.

At some point, however, all of us will be heading to Tottenham’s official site. The updates may be less frequent but it’s all about getting that information from the club itself. With that in mind, it would surely make sense to download the Spurs app.

For news on the go, it’s the best way of keeping in touch so we headed off to the app store to check it out.

The Process

We entered Spurs Official App into the search bar and this was the second result behind ESPN. Download is free and it was installed onto our iPhone in seconds. The app is, of course, also available for Android and other platforms.

On the screen, the image is that of the iconic cockerel badge with the simple word ‘Spurs’ underneath. Like most apps, this is a quick and easy process but what do we find when we click through for the first time?

The first time you use the Spurs official app it will ask you if you want to formally register. The usual questions follow in regards to letting the app access your location and send you notifications. This is all optional, so, it’s up to you to make whichever decision you are comfortable with.

The information provided will naturally depend on the exact point when you click through. We first accessed the app just after Spurs’ win over Aston Villa on the first day of the 2019/20 season and most of the stories related to this game.

Match reports and extensive interviews with key players can be expected after every first team match.

Unrelated stories and videos are also likely to be found and then we get to the shop and merchandise offerings.spurs app

Other Information

The official Spurs app has a choice of buttons at the bottom where you can access other important information. If it’s match tickets you’re after, click on profile at the bottom right but you will need to register and create that profile before you can proceed any further.

Click on team and the first team squad plus coaching staff are revealed. Choose your favourite, click again and a bio will come up. The other two icons relate to matches and stadium. Matches is a simple rundown of upcoming fixtures while Stadium is another route into ticket information and stadium tours when they are available.

We would say that the app is essential if you are looking to attend games on a regular basis. All of the required match day information is there and it does make buying tickets easy for members.

It’s also a handy guide to upcoming fixtures in the EPL, Champions League and domestic cups. You could download a useful app called Football Web Pages which has all the Premier League games on it but to stay specific to Spurs, keep it exclusive and official.

The team page needed a little updating when we logged on – there were no photos of new signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon – but there was a full bio of each man.

And finally, if you want to keep reliving a recent win, there is a raft of reports and interviews available. For all dedicated Spurs fans, it’s a must have and with an easy download and simple navigation, we suggest you log on and obtain the free Tottenham app right away.
